Alberta - Province Wide
- A post purchase rebate of $500 for e-bikes
- Scrap your car within 30 days of successfully applying
Banff - Alberta
- Rebate amounts. Banff resident: Less of $500 or 50% of purchase price, Banff Access Tier 2: Less of $750 or 50% of purchase price. Banff Access Tier 1: Less of $1000 or 50% of purchase price.
- Purchase must be after January 16, 2023.
- E-bikes must have pedals and max power of 500 watts.
- E-bike must be new.
- E-bikes over $5000 are not eligible.
British Columbia - Province Wide
- Rebate amounts starting at $350 ranging up to $1400.
- Electric bike rebates that scale based on income.
- Minimum e-bike purchase of $2000 to qualify.
- Must be 19 years or older and a BC resident.
- Must purchase the e-bike from a participating retailer.
- Purchases made prior to June 1, 2023 do not qualify.
- Limit of 1 rebate per person.
Nova Scotia - Province Wide
- A rebate of $500 on e-bikes purchased from local retailers with a minimum purchase of $1200.
- E-bike motor must be less than 500 watts and no faster than 32km/h.
- E-bikes must be purchased new.
- Can get e-bike rebate directly from participating retailer or apply online retroactively. Applications must be submitted within 30 days of purchase.
Prince Edward Island - Province Wide
- An $500 e-bike rebate for bikes bought at a local retailer with a minimum purchase price of $1200.
- PEI residents are eligible for 1 e-bike rebate per calendar year.
- Businesses, non-profits, public agencies are eligible for 5 e-bike rebates per calendar year.
- E-bikes must meet the following requirements: max speed of 32km/h, motor of 500 watts or less, two or three wheels that touch the ground, max weight of 120kg.
- Can get rebate in store at point of sale at participating retailers. Can also apply online after purchase for rebate.
Quebec - Province Wide
- A rebate of $500 for an electric scooter.
- Can get the assistance directly via a dealer or you can file a claim through the program's online services.
Yukon
- A rebate for 25% off an e-bike purchase up to $750 for a standard e-bike and $1500 for a cargo e-bike.
- Must buy the e-bike from a business operating in Canada with a Canadian address.
- E-bike must have pedals.
- You can receive the rebate directly from the vendor at purchase, or file online with the Energy Branch after purchase.
